Urban Tapestry at OVFF!
-
October 22, 2010
Many thanks and best wishes to the ladies of Urban Tapestry (http://www.urbantapestry.org/) who are guests of honor at the Ohio Valley Filk Festival this weekend! During their concert, they will be performing their lovely rendition of "Frodo's Song." They were kind enough to send me a recording from one of their rehearsals, and it's absolutely beautiful. If you haven't already heard their music, I hope you will pay a visit to their website and enjoy.
I've also uploaded my own recording of "Frodo's Song," which you can hear and download here: http://www.summerrussell.com/music-26.html
Happy Mother's Day!

May 9, 2010
Today, I am offering a free download of "Hope Found a Hummingbird," in honor of all the mothers I know (most of all my own - the best in the world!) - and in honor of anyone who has ever loved, cared for, sacrificed for, and rejoiced in the success of another living being.
Thank you. :)

Big updates!

First thing's first - several new songs are now available via the "music" link above.
Lastnight, I launched my official fan page on Facebook - http://facebook.com/summerrussell - and have already learned that at least 28 people like me. Yay!
I simultaneously announced the beginning of my Big Album Fundraiser. Offering a number of tangible incentives, I have decided to raise money with a little help from my friends to cover the costs of producing "Nothing Ventured." Through the generosity of Listeners Like You, I've already raised 61% of my initial goal. Would you like to know more? Visit the Facebook link above, or click "albums/donate" now!
